Flight Information

If you are traveling from the United States there are several airlines with regularly scheduled flights.  American Airlines has flights daily to several cities in the Dominican Republic out of Miami, Atlanta and New York with rates below $400.00 round trip.  Delta and Spirit Air also have limited scheduled Flights to the DR.  When traveling from countries other than the US, contact your travel agent or airline for current flight information.  Their are six International Airports in the Dominican Republic: Barahona Maria Montez Intl, Higuey Punta Cana Intl, La Romana Intl, Puerto Plata Gregorio Luperon Intl, Santiago Cibao Intl, and Santo Domingo Las Americas Intl.

Maria Montez Airport: Airport code "BRX". When Traveling to Barahona or other cities in the south west part of the country you may want to schedule a flight into Barahona Airport or Las Americas in Santo Domingo where flights are more frequent.

Gregorio Luperon Airport: Airport code "POP".  If you are traveling to a city on the North coast of the island: Puerto Plata, Sosua, Cabarete, Monte Christi, Gasper Hernandez, Rio San Juan, Sabaneta and Nagua you will want to fly into Puerto Plata.     

Punta Cana Airport: Airport code "PUJ".  When traveling to the southeast side of the Dominican Republic to the tourist town of Punta Cana, make flight arrangements to this airport in Higuey.

La Romana Airport:  Airport code "LRM".  La Romana is located east of Santo Domingo along the southern shore line facing the Caribbean.  This all inclusive resort town is populated with many tourist flying into La Romana Airport.  The city of San Pedro De Marcoris is only 30 minutes west of La Romana and was the childhood city of the great baseball player "Sammy Sosa".

Cibao Airport: Airport code "STI".  Located in the central part of the country.  If you want to go to Santiago, La Vega, San Francisco De Marcoris or Constanza you will need to make travel arrangements to Santiago.

Las Americas Airport: Airport code "SDQ" Located near the capital city of Santo Domingo, travelers visiting Santo Domingo, Boca Chica, Juan Dolio, San Pedro De Marcoris and even as far as San Juan De La Maguana will want to book their flight to Santo Domingo.

Depending on your location and travel requirements, charter flights may also be available.  Check with your travel agent or try Google search to find Dominican Republic Charter Flights.
